Who This Course Is For

This course is for experienced skippers who are already comfortable planning and executing coastal passages and who want to formalise their skills at Yachtmaster level – often with a professional or commercial goal in mind.

Many of our Yachtmaster candidates are working towards commercial endorsements for skippering, instructing, superyacht crew roles or expedition sailing.

What You Will Work On

Syllabus & Exam Preparation

We assume you already have the theory knowledge at Yachtmaster level and focus on bringing it to life on the water. Throughout the course you will rotate through the role of skipper, with constructive feedback from your instructor.

  • Pilotage plans and execution by day and night
  • Blind navigation and use of radar and electronic aids
  • Strong emphasis on collision regulations and good seamanship
  • MOB recovery in a range of conditions
  • Heavy weather handling, sail plans and shelter decisions
  • Realistic exam scenarios and debriefs
